Shipping BIG

So you won that awesome item at a great deal but it just won't fit in a small box!

Now what? Well there is the option of sending it via freight.

First of all I will see if your item or items can be reduced down to the point where                 they could be shipped without having to go the freight route.

If it ships for less I will certainly try.

If not these are a few things you need to know about shipping freight that helps                                      the freight broker and you figure out cost.

1. Size: Just think of what it would look like in a box/boxes on a pallet. That would be your square/cubic measurement.

2. Weight: What does it actually weigh plus the weight of the pallet and anything

used to protect the item/items.

3. LTL- Less than a truck load. Generally how most items ship out.

4: Insurance: Always consider but remember it's an extra charge.

5. Residential Delivery: Please let us know in advance! This charge could be quite substantial and not included in the initial quote. Maybe you know someone who                        has a business where your item could be delivered to.

6. Class: Weight x Width X Height. How much weight and space will your item

take up inside the vehicle transporting it. A bunch of boxes on a pallet vs a

refrigerator would definitely be two different classes of items transport.               Different classes garner different charges.

6:Freight Brokers: These are businesses that sort the logistics of getting your items from A to B. They may not always have the best rates on hand because some only work with known larger trucking firms and some work with smaller more affordable trucking firms. Some allow you to put out your items for bid (like the tv show Shipping Wars). A good broker will have a balance of both.

I have found most brokers very helpful in determining the proper quote and timely in deliveries. If it's local or regional there may be  a courier service available.

I will always try to find the best rates for you.
